"Antenatal care and birth"

I found my student midwife Emma on a Facebook group and contacted her. From the beginning she helped me feel supported in a gentle and caring way with such professionalism. She was excellent at building and maintaining trust and also at communicating.

She attended multiple antenatal GP appointments and supported the GPs in providing my care with confidence and skill. I felt safe under her care at all times. When I went into labour I messaged her and she replied straight away and gave me the reassurance and guidance that I needed.

She met me at the hospital as soon as I arrived and was instrumental in guiding me through a successful intervention free vaginal birth in line with my birth preferences. She had studied my birth preferences and was able to provide me what I needed and wanted when I was unable to think or communicate for myself during the throws of rapidly progressing labour.

She showed such confident intuition and continuously provided words and actions of support in all the right ways which I can hardly express my gratitude for. I faced some challenges both mentally and physically during the pushing stage and she was able to help ground me and deliver my baby safely. I would highly recommend Emma's care as a midwife for any pregnant woman, she's one of a kind and has an incredible natural calling for this industry.
