"Elevated heart rate and blood pressure."

About: Lancelin Health Centre

(as the patient),

Prior medical issues.

- Sept 2017 Open heart surgery for bioprosthetic aortic valve.
- Stroke Aug 2024. Uncontrolled cholesterol.

Recently visited GP for blocked nose and congested lungs.

Get script for Antibiotics.

During the following night experience elevated heart rate and pressure. I was very anxious and concerned.

Visit Lancelin Medical Centre and Nurse Rachel was on duty.

She took blood samples and did an ECG.

I spoke to a Doctor via teleconference and he reassured me that my readings were acceptable for me.

Overall I was impressed with the technology and the professional staff. (There was another patient present as well.)

On the negative side. The squawk box on the front wall of the Lancelin medical center my calls dropped out twice while speaking to whom ever answered. (The town was experiencing power issues that day) Awesome storms and hi winds 65kmh. (It blew over my boundary fence.)

Thanks again.

Dear magpiekj53

Thank you for your feedback.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your recent experience at the Lancelin Health Centre. We’re pleased to hear that you felt supported by our professional team and the Telehealth service provided reassurance during a stressful time. It’s great to know that technology enabled a prompt assessment and that Nurse Rachel’s care stood out to you. We will be sure to pass on your kind words.

Regarding the Health Direct phone box at the front of the centre, we sincerely apologise for the call dropouts. As you noted, the town was experiencing severe weather and power disruptions at the time likely contributed to the connection issues.

We have since reported the matter to our maintenance team and we have been advised that the connections have been replaced to ensure a more reliable service in the future, even in bad weather.

Thank you again for your comments, feedback like yours helps us to continue to improve the care we provide.

Kind Regards

Kumar Deep
