"concussion/ brain injury presentation at emergency"

About: Maroondah Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a relative),

Recently one evening, my elderly spouse had a fall with palpable duck egg size lump on the back left upper part of their head. They got themself up and walked, query whether they were knocked unconscious - but they were certainly dazed and disoriented, and their memory was affected and they couldn't remember what happened or what we were planning to do.

Their head was hurting. After consulting  google health websites on risks of falls/head injuries for elderly, we went to Maroondah hospital emergency department [8.15pm] where my spouse saw a triage nurse, and waited to see a medico. Around 12.20am we gave up and left.
