"the manage my care app"

About: Fiona Stanley Hospital

(as the patient),

I have been using this app for about two years and am so grateful that I have this resource as it helps me to not miss appointments. It also helps me prepare properly as I can see the instructions from the hospital.

I have appointments with different clinics at fiona stanely though and i can only use the app to change appointments at some of these clinics. This feature doesn't work for my pain and physio appointments. could someone please tell me why? it should be available for all my appointments. notifications/bell icon in the app also needs improvement. It doesn't recalculate the correct number of notifications when i click on it. who can i speak to about this?

Dear importerpd93,

Thank you for reaching out and your kind feedback about the Manage My Care (MMC) app. I am pleased to hear that it’s been a helpful tool for you in managing your appointments and preparing for your visits.

In relation to your concern about not being able to change pain management and physiotherapy appointments through the app, this is due to the complexity and high demand of these services. Both of these clinics require direct coordination with hospital staff to ensure appropriate scheduling, often involving clinician input. As such, I have outlined below the best way for you to make any changes required to your appointments at FSH:

For pain management, you should be able to reschedule this via the MMC app in which Outpatient Direct (OPD) staff action requests. Noting that the app will allow you to reschedule this up to 3 times. Please contact OPD via phone call on 1300 855 275.

For physiotherapy, which is not supported by Outpatient Direct, patients are asked to contact the clinic directly. The contact number is provided in your appointment letter and SMS reminders.

Thank you for flagging the notification issues. The MMC team is actively working to improve the app’s functionality and user experience in collaboration with Health Service Providers across WA, including the Fiona Stanley Fremantle Hospitals Group.

If you do experience any other problems with the app in future, you can report technical issues or provide feedback directly to the MMC team via their support line on 1800 517 133 or email managemycare@health.wa.gov.au.

You can also find helpful information in the FAQ and user guide available in the app or on the HealthyWA website.

Thank you again for your feedback this helps us continue to improve the service.

Kind regards,

Luke Dix

A/Executive Director FSFHG
