"My birth at Armadale Hospital"

About: Armadale Hospital / Maud Bellas Maternity Ward & Neonatal Nursery

(as the patient),

I was transferred from another hospital to Armadale as the theatres were on bypass due to technical issues preventing a potential c-section that I was told may have to happen. The moment I arrived at Armadale I was treated with so much respect and care! I had been in labour for 3 days at this point so I was exhausted. The staff on the maternity ward were honestly amazing! I ended up having an emergency c-section right before midnight and I cannot fault the team with how they cared for me and my baby! Special shoutout to Jess and Bec! Although I didn't get the birth I had planned, both Jess and Bec made my experience the best it could be and supported me and my decisions! So grateful 😊

Dear jupiterdt44,

Thank you so much for your beautiful message. It truly means the world to us to hear how your journey unfolded. We are proud to work as one team across WA Health, embracing a collaborative approach that ensures seamless transitions between services.

Becoming a mother takes incredible strength no matter the circumstances. You certainly demonstrated great personal strength through your story. I’m so pleased to hear that you felt respected, cared for, and supported every step of the way.

Jess and Bec will be so touched to hear that they helped make such a difference in your experience. They, along with the whole maternity team, are deeply passionate about what they do, and your message is a powerful reminder of why that dedication is so important.

Congratulations on the arrival of your precious baby.

Best wishes

Alisha Thompson
