"Bremer Bay on call nursing post"

Our family stayed in Bremer Bay for a recent long weekend. The nursing post stated it was closed and after Saturday lunchtime the local chemist was also closed. Our child developed croup on the Saturday night. We called Health Direct who seemingly weren’t able to offer much; but thankfully our child's breathing settled and we didn’t have to drive 2 hours to Albany in the middle of the night. 

The next day in daylight hours we called Health Direct again who agreed to call the on-call Registered Nurse. Lynn who was on call for the long weekend was there within about 3 minutes of being called. Lynn was so great and we were really grateful for her service. Lynn was calm, professional, friendly, efficient, listened to our concerns, and reassured us we’d done the right thing by having her called in. She did a thorough exam of our child which gave us much reassurance and the confidence to continue our stay in Bremer Bay for the weekend. Lynn was able to get a phone medication order from Albany quickly for what we needed. Lynn gave us advice of what to do next if our child's condition worsened.
