I had the privilege of being a patient with MGP Bunbury. Liv was my midwife who is absolutely amazing together with Sharni and Jenna who shared my care during our time with MGP.
Being my third pregnancy with two energetic kids, I found being pregnant difficult especially when diagnosed with gestational diabetes & being put on insulin. Liv was very supportive, informative and available. I found her to be very caring and understanding when my 2 year old thought our appointments were playdates. I ended up being induced two weeks early which I was a little nervous for. Previous births both resulted in episiotomies and vacuum deliveries together with inductions that didn't go quite to plan.
This birth was by far my favourite. Liv as always was completely available and met me at the Bunbury Midwifery Unit the night before to start the induction then met me back very early the following morning to break my waters. Liv together with the obstetric & midwifery team at the Bunbury hospital were amazing.
I had the pleasure of having Dr Lucy in the room when it was time to push as well as quite a few midwifes as our baby was in a rush to arrive. The moment I was so nervous for quickly became one of my most cherished memories. My husband, Dr Lucy and all the midwives loudly cheered me on to push our third baby out which I did all on my own with minimal tearing. I honestly had no faith I could do this but I felt very supported and safe. Dr Lucy is an incredible doctor with wonderful bedside manner.
Following birth I stayed one night in hospital before returning home where I was then under the care of MGP for nearly a month. I felt so lucky she could visit our home and check both myself and bub during this time.
Highly recommend Liv from MGP Bunbury!
