My elderly parent was discharged from a major Perth Hospital with a wound that occurred while she was an inpatient. On discharge we were informed that she had been referred to Silver Chain for wound care. When i rang to confirm this, I was told that Silver Chain had declined. Due to a lack of communication from the Perth Hospital we were not informed of this.
For 2 weeks now my parent has been having her wound dressed every second day by staff at Donnybrook Hospital. They are professional, kind and even when they are busy, they always fit Mum in. They are patient and very much invested in providing the best care for her. They work collaboratively with each other and communicate with all members of my family, so we all know what the plan is - for her wound care. The staff at the front desk have been kind, efficient and always very helpful. We very much appreciate the care and kindness from all staff including a Doctor who came in to see my Mum and to check her wound. Thankyou to all of the staff, you do a fantastic job.
