At the end of May, my elderly Mum (87) requested to be taken to Collie Hospital ED due to complications associated with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. I called RN Allison to give advance notice of us presenting in 30 mins.
Upon arrival Allison and Heather were very thorough, professional and compassionate to Mum, listening to her explain about her condition. Dr Peter attended and further assessed Mum and she was admitted to the ward. Over the following 6.5 weeks, Mum received the most professional, personal, attentive and thorough care from the team.
Katie (Irish Angel) immediately cared for Mum and supported and reassured Mum for the entire time. Ebony was equally as caring and supported us regarding Mum's future. Other staff who greatly impacted Mum's stay were: Eileen, Elle, Caroline, Annie, Sandra, Suzie, Kate, Julie, Julie, Gaylene, Melissa, Wendy, Sharyn and of course Dr Peter.
Staff would take the time to visit to just check in and just have a chat which means the world to an elderly person, especially if the staff member is very busy.
