"A heart attack and a stroke of my dad"

About: Bruce Rock Memorial Health Service / Emergency Department Royal Perth Hospital / Intensive Care Unit

(as a relative),

We brought my dad into the hospital early one morning where he deteriorated quickly and ended up having a seizure and heart attack going into cardiac arrest and needing cpr and life support by the staff at Bruce rock hospital.

It was super scary being there with my dad as a young adult but among the chaos the staff where great Tracey the receptionist made sure I wasn’t alone in the waiting room while they where working on him. The local dr was there at the time and was great and came out to explain what was happening to my dad.

There nurses were a small team but from what I saw when I was with dad they all seemed super kind and professional even though I know a few of them from living in town. The nurses were Sam, Jack, Alison and Sunny and everyone else that was there. They supported dad till the royal flying doctor arrived where he was taken to royal Perth and attended to straight away. My dad was in ICU on life support for 7-8 days and thankfully made it out thanks to Bruce rock team not giving up on him and the royal perth ICU attending to him the whole time. He miraculously came out of a stroke and multiple heart attacks extremely well only needing rehab on his hand.
