"Going through my belongings"

I was so shocked that I discharged - I went in one day and left the next. They went through all my belongings, my handbag and everything. I felt they weren’t nice about it either. As if I had something to hide. I was going to go in for depression. I felt the treatment they gave me was shocking. I am in my late 60s for God’s sake. If I go out for a break for a smoke, they’re continually sending me text messages to contact the hospital. I believe they have gone through all my diary. I never had anything like this happen at the previous service I used to go to.
