"RITH SMHS"

About: SMHS Rehabilitation In The Home (RITH)

(as a relative),

My husband was diagnosed with lymphoma and Jaimie was referred to see us at home. Jaimie is the most adorable bloke you could meet, very patient, kind, knows his business, knows what needs to be done. When he came and showed my husband how to do all the exercises, he was very patient. That’s when he picked up that my husband couldn’t do some of the exercises on one foot and diagnosed him with dropped foot. Jaimie sorted it out and referred him to Fiona Stanley Hospital and saw a specialist there who gave him an apparatus to put on his leg. Worked perfectly thanks to Jaimie because no one else had picked it up. If I had to rate him out of 10 I’d give him 20/10.

Dear woodpeckerpq77,

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. It’s heartening to hear how the RITH program made such a meaningful difference to you and your husband, and particularly the care provided by Jaimie (also known to our team by the name James).

Your kind words are a wonderful reflection of the compassionate, person-centred care we strive to provide every day. It can be a difficult time returning home after a hospital stay so we are really pleased that James helped you link in with the services you required. We have passed on your feedback to James.

All the best.

Hannah Whiting
