"The Caregiver who walks through the hospital doors"

About: Bunbury Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a carer),

I have on numerous occasions raised this issue. When someone accompanies a patient feeling unwell to the hospital I believe it is definitely not for a cup of coffee and a croissant. The patient is either in pain or anxious and the carer has also got some kind of anxiety - This is the fear of the unknown. Unfortunately, in my experience your triage nurses treats the carers like they don't exist. This is firstly, I believe, a lack on empathy on their part, a lack of understading of the whole situation and plain rudeness. I have been at the receiving end of this so many times. Honestly. This is a constructive criticism. I feel you need to act on that please. Thank you.
