"Childs fractured bone not identified"

About: Joondalup Health Campus / Emergency Department

(as a parent/guardian),

Attended Joondalup emergency with tween aged child with foot pain, indicated to doctor child had pain in top of foot. Foot X-rayed and was informed had a small fracture in one toe, toes strapped and sent home. Pain in child's foot increased weeks after. Attended local GP who read the radiological report to inform us that our child also had a fracture in their foot which should of been non weight bearing and treated differently. Now having to attend more x-rays and ultrasounds to eliminate further issues. No contact was made to us to inform us of the broken bone discovered. Feel let down by healthcare system caring for child.
