For years I’ve had arthritis in both my knees. Have had various appointments with orthopaedic surgeons over a 15 year period they always sent me away saying I needed to be a lot worse before they would consider me for the surgery. So I managed as it got worse I again asked for a referral from my GP. I waited more than a year and he informed me the surgery could take place in another year I was then informed that the surgery could take place in a month then 3 months later the other knee. So this was good I was finally getting new knees after years of waiting 

The Joint Replacement team where fantastic I was well informed about the process prior to the operation and was treated with kindness and compassion during and after the operation. The follow up care has also been comprehensive and caring
