"Esperance Maternity care"

About: Esperance Health Campus / Maternity care

(as the patient),

My wife experienced PROM early morning (due date) in which we went into hospital on advice of midwife on call. The care at this time from the midwife Rikki and Dr Andrew was fantastic, we left feeling very informed, advocated for and ready to come in when further progressed.

We were given clear instructions, sound advice and were well informed by midwife on evening shift that if things changed to attend hospital in which we were very willing to do. She was very polite, supportive and again a great reflection of the midwifery unit.

We were incredibly relieved and grateful to be cared for by Rachael. I was so happy to see my wife receive some well needed love and care. Her presence, tone, demeanour, articulation and advocacy were incredibly heartwarming and a true reflection of the department we knew existed. Rachael, Bree and Elsie were fantastic throughout the day, very personable, comforting and skillful.

We felt totally engaged, informed and trusted them fully in their recommendations. It was great to witness, and we felt so lucky to be under the care of a team of midwives and obstetrician like the one in Esperance. Especially as the labour was slightly atypical according to protocols / guidelines.

Dr Andrew was again fantastic, caring, respectful, understanding and polite.

All future fears were also relieved when the oncoming night shift was Rikki and Taylor. They were both extremely kind, knowledge, humorous and balanced a busy workload with a grace and ease that is to be commended. Our daughter was lucky to be brought safely into the world by the caring hands of Taylor and Rikki under guidance of Dr Andrew. We are very happy to have their names linked to our daughter's journey. Many thanks and gratitude must also be passed on to Leilah and Britt who were so helpful and full of sound advice over our stay the next few nights and follow-ups at home

Thank you, Esperance Maternity
