We were referred to the MGP program at KHC around 12 weeks of pregnancy. Throughout the program Leanne and the Team have provided me with more support and informed care than i could have ever imagined. Their consistency with communication and reassurance through knowledge and experience has kept me sane and calm about the whole experience as a first time mum.
I dont know how I would feel going through another pregnancy without the assistance of the MGP ladies, especially as it is not offered to women over the age of 35.
I think that this program and the midvives that keep our communities supported need more support from local and state governments to ensure there are enough resources available in regional areas.
