My father was suffering from persistent leg ulcers which would not heal. He was becoming quite despondent & thought they may never heal. The care he received from the medical team at the Bennett Unsworth Centre of Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine Unit was exceptional! They assessed his wounds, cleaned and dressed them, and gave him a plan going forward. They carefully explained the causes, and gave him hope that they were in fact healing, even if the progress felt slow.
In particular the clinical nurse specialist treated him with such care, ensuring not just his wounds and his concerns were addressed, but was extremely thoughtful providing refreshments and ensuring he was well hydrated for his journey home. I cannot speak of this service more highly. I believe it is truly the best of our NSW public health services that I have experienced.
"Amazing Care"
