"Exceptional service"

About: Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital / Respiratory Medicine G54

(as a carer),

My mother in law had been submitted last month to SCGH, Ward G54, she, was in room 12. She had contracted Rhinovirus, she is 85 and has a pre-existing COPD condition.

It was her second day and my first visit. She was having difficulty breathing so I went to get the nurse, I couldn't see her so I grabbed what I thought was a nurse. Her name was Loretta, she was in fact a physio, but she was there to help, I felt relieved, more importantly, so did my mother in law.

I visited again another day, her nurse was Greta, I think should be spelt GREAT. She was young, but sounded experienced. She was clear in her directions, and explanations on what she was doing.

Both Lorretta and Greta were brilliant, proactive, responsive, and professional, an absolute credit to there professions.

Dear fav-son-in-law,

Thank you so much for taking the time to acknowledge the respiratory team on Ward G54 at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.

I will ensure that your kind words of appreciation are passed on to Lorretta and Greta, together with mine. We are very fortunate to have such dedicated and professional staff within our health service who are committed to providing patients and their families with the best possible care and treatment.

I hope that your mother in law is recovering well.

Kind regards,
Jodi Graham
