"Feedback for the paediatric team and patient support staff during a recent admission"

(as a carer),

Paediatric team:

The paediatric doctors and nurses at Geraldton Hospital really do their best to help patients. This was highlighted to me on recent admission where my daughter was really well taken care of. The team found out that my daughter had her school assembly that she really wanted to attend. This was communicated to the whole team and they all worked together so that she was able to leave to attend. Thank you to the whole team

Patient support staff during a recent admission:

Every time the patient support staff came into the room they had a smile even though they were very busy serving food or drinks or cleaning. They also were trying to train new staff. The food that was provided was delicious and usually delivered in a timely manner such that it was still warm and the icecream not too melted. Thank you to all

As I read your feedback, I felt an immense sense of pride in the Paediatric and Patient Services teams. It is clear that they placed your daughter at the heart of their care, ensuring her physical and emotional wellbeing was thoughtfully and thoroughly supported.

I was especially pleased to learn that, thanks to the dedication of the Paediatric team, your daughter was able to attend the school assembly that meant so much to her. The Patient Services team, often the quiet achievers of our campus, demonstrated their unwavering commitment to their roles, and it was a pleasure to read of their contribution.

We have already shared your kind words with both teams, and I would like to take this opportunity to formally acknowledge the outstanding support they provided to you and your family.
