I rang Northam hospital to let them know the service that would be transferring my dear Mum who passed away the night before in the hospital. A clinican answered, said they knew who I was talking about and twice said “he” and followed with “transfer what”. I repeated myself, again they said, in my opinion, rudely I heard you, transfer what. I was absolutley disgusted, asked for a senior clinician and they said they were.
I asked what time the morning shift commences, they replied 730am and I said well I will call back then, and I recall they said you do that. I have no words. This not at all a reflection of my experience with staff at this hospital, in fact the opposite. Simply horrified a clinician who was on duty when my Mum passed away (small country hospital) could be like this is beyond comprehension.
"No empathy or compassion only rudeness after my mother just passed."
