"My Mum’s End of Life Experience only created by the angel of Palliative Care Nurse"

About: Northam Health Service Wheatbelt Regional Palliative Care

(as a relative),

My Mum was dying. It had been 11 weeks. A very long journey. I had had beautiful time with her and it was time to come home to NSW. My mother arrived at Northam Hospital and Pallative Care nurse Deb, enabled face time immediately. This had never been offered while Mum was in other hospitals in Perth. Deb then proceeded to Face Time me daily. Oh my goodness, she created this magic space for me to be with my Mum daily, allowing us to have love and connection right up to the time of her passing. Deb went above and beyond anything I have experienced and I will never be able to thank her enough- an angel in human skin.

Dear apushg43

I am so very sorry for your loss and extend our deepest condolences to you and your family.

It is lovely to hear how Deb, one of our Palliative Care nurses was able to create special FaceTime moments with your mum and support you during this time.

Enabling FaceTime for families is one of the many ways our Regional Palliative Care team works to ensure patients, and their loved ones feel supported, connected and cared for.

We will be sure to share your kind words with Deb and the team. Your feedback is a reminder of the compassion and dedication they bring to their work every day.

Kind Regards

Kumar Deep
