I went to see Dr Rajeev to have my IUD removed. I arrived 20 minutes early to my appointment with the intention of waiting until my scheduled appointment. He saw me waiting and he moved my appointment up in order for me to be seen as soon as possible.
He is extremely easy to talk to and made me feel very comfortable and cared for. He also asked about my health outside of what my appointment was to do with to make sure I was in good health and if I had any questions about any area of my health I could ask him while I was in the appointment I found this amazing because in a small mining town where life is revolved around working, a lot of us Karratha Locals only see drs when we need to so having a Dr who is asking about all health areas could give a local a chance to ask something that is alarming to them.
He asked detailed questions and showed a lot of care. It was my first ever gynecologist appointment in my life and at first I was very nervous but having a good chat before and the way he found ways to relate to me really made me comfortable.
He informed me about things to do with my body and how my cervix is higher than most and why he performed the way he did. This was great for me because now if I see a different dr in the future I will know how to position myself easiest for the next dr.
He also went above and beyond in the way of making sure I had all STI screenings, my Pap smears were up to date (asked multiple times to make sure I was sure I had one previously) and gave advice on what is best for a pregnancy when I am ready to become a mother.
He didn’t only make sure I was comfortable in my appointment and remove my IUD but also gave me advice for the future with my health and sorted any health problems or queries I had while I was there.
Best Doctor I have ever seen I wish he was my GP!
