"ED - Exceptional care from a busy department"

About: Albany Health Campus / Emergency Department

(as a parent/guardian),

Young child feeling unwell, headaches ongoing > fainted, hit their head and fitted. Extremely needle phobic and stressed about investigations. Handled so well by Dr, very considered treatment to minimize my child's distress and make their experience a positive one in the circumstances.

All tests carried out that day and followed up later to provide reassurance. All staff were super busy, the dept was chaos and there were not enough beds for patients presenting. Staff were constantly apologizing for time frames.

Dear Stressybessy

Thank you so much for sharing your experience.

We’re really glad to hear that the care your child received helped ease what must have been a very stressful situation. It’s wonderful to know that the doctor’s thoughtful approach made a difference and helped your child feel more comfortable during such a challenging time.

We also appreciate your understanding of the pressures the Emergency Department was under. Despite the busy environment, it’s great to hear that staff remained attentive and apologetic — we’ll make sure your feedback is passed on to the team.

Thank you again for taking the time to share your kind words.
