"Physiotherapy received in the home after hospital discharge"

About: SMHS Rehabilitation In The Home (RITH)

(as the patient),

After my hospital stay, I was referred to rehabilitation in the home to receive physiotherapy to help me get my strength back into my legs.

I had a fall and had fracture the top of my femur on my right leg.

At first I did not want to do it as I felt unwell, but they explained to me it would help strengthen my legs so I could become mobile again.

I received home exercise program that physiotherapist Michelle directed me, and I was very happy with the assistance and help she gave me.

I have improved a lot and can now walk better with my 4 wheel walker.

Overall I had a good experience.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with the Rehabilitation in the Home team.

It is wonderful to hear that the exercises and education that Michelle provided made such a difference. We have passed on your feedback to Michelle and wish you all the best for your ongoing recovery.
