"Breast Feeding Center"

About: King Edward Memorial Hospital / Breastfeeding Centre of WA

(as a service user),

I was experiencing difficulty with nipple damage and after a phone call with one of the lactation consultants I was booked in for an appointment. I saw Jude and later Meg. They were both very knowledgeable and so supportive.

I wanted to express particular thanks to Meg. I arrived very late and emotional to one of my appointments. She welcomed me with such gentle kindness and compassion. I had a huge ugly cry while she listened, comforted and reassured me.

I am so grateful for this service and even more grateful (and astounded) that it is free. I think it is an amazing support for breastfeeding mothers. I know motherhood and breastfeeding are not always an easy journey and I think that to be able to access such a professional and compassionate service during such a vulnerable and important time is phenomenal.

Dear pavofx99

Thank you for your lovely feedback. I am so pleased that both Jude and Meg were able to provide you with such compassionate support and reassurance. We are very proud of the Breastfeeding Centre WA and the wonderfully caring and knowledgeable service they provide.

There’s just nothing like a safe and respectful space at a vulnerable time, and I will be sure to let Meg and the rest of the team know how much their warmth and kindness meant to you.

Wishing you all the best,

Delaney
