"Nervous trip to the Birthing Unit"

About: St George Hospital / 1 South Maternity

(as the patient),

Had to attend birthing unit to check my baby was okay. Was taken care of my the midwives and Dr Emma. Dr Emma made sure i was comfortable and well informed of the procedure needed and made me feel very safe a reassured. After a recent negative experience with another health provider, Dr Emma’s caring and patient approach was extremely appreciated.

Dear Anxious95,

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your experience at St George Public Hospital.

It is always a pleasure to receive positive feedback concerning the efforts of our staff. We are very fortunate to have a highly valued professional team of medical and midwifery staff that are committed to always providing exceptional care - it was heartening to know that our commitment to compassionate and patient-centred care created an environment where you felt safe and understood and had such a positive impact on your experience.

Your recognition of Dr Emma’s support & compassionate approach is greatly appreciated. I have forwarded your kind-hearted feedback to the Women & Children’s Leadership Team to share with Dr Emma and the entire midwifery team.

Once again, thank you for sharing your experience with us. I wish you and your family all the very best.

Sincerely,

Dr Heidi Boss
