"Busselton Palliative Care"

About: Busselton Health Campus / South West Regional Palliative Care Service – Coastal

(as the patient),

LOVE. At age 83 and living alone with severe arthritis of my spine, two artificial hips and a kneed and 10 years of essential thrombacythernia which developed into a related blood cancer, a marrow cancer called mylofibrosis which is aggressive. My G.P. referred me to the Palliative doctor of the South West because pain control seemed to have become very difficult.

Never in my whole life have I ever been so cared for as with the Palliative nurses and Dr. Jonty as the helm. I am encouraged to phone for support any time from 8am till 4pm after which the Palcats take over. This service is amazing, a gem, peopled by the most patient, caring dedicated professionals. Dr Jonty is irreplaceable.

I feel so safe in their care. They visit on a regular basis

Thank you so much for your kind feedback, I am so pleased that you feel safe in the care of the Community Palliative Care team, and thus able to remain in your own home. I will pass on your feedback to the members of the team.
