"Follow-up following procedure"

About: King Edward Memorial Hospital / Day Surgery Unit

(as the patient),

I had a procedure  at King Edward memorial hospital early September.

This was at the same day clinic and the Treatment couldn't have been better, every member of staff was awesome.

On discharge I was told I would have a follow-up phone consult in 3-4 weeks as I am potentially having a follow-up major surgery.

It is now a month later and I have tried  to call different departments at KEMH to try and find out what is happening but to no avail, and no follow-up appointment has been arranged

I have no idea how to progress from here

Dear soiljt74,

Thank you for reaching out to share your experience at King Edward Memorial Hospital. I am very pleased to hear about the wonderful care you received when you had a recent procedure. It is, however, disappointing to note that you have not been contacted post operatively, as promised.

I would like to acknowledge how frustrating this must be for you. If you could please reach out to our Consumer Liaison Team by phone at 6458 1444 or via email at WNHSCLS@health.gov.au, the team will be able to assist you to obtain the follow-up information and will enable us to undertake a review to find out why this didn’t occur as intended.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes

Delaney
