4 years ago my ankle blew up out no where and imaging later found massive internal bleeding and a fracture. i couldn’t walk for 2 years and still have issues to this day during the two years my foot was like this i seen many specialists and no one could firgure out what was wrong.
4 weeks ago my hand did the same thing. cannot use it nothing and swelling will not go down. My blood test are showing i have watered down blood and it is not clotting at all. So they sent a refferal to the outpatients haematology which was a person from fiona stanley. This doctor told me my results were abnormal but they can’t do anything? which makes zero sense when i am having serve issues such as massive blood noses that don’t stop for over 2 hours sometimes and even changing the tissue causes blood to go everywhere.
i had bowel surgery in a few months ago and the incisions wouldn’t stop bleeding for months and have only now just healed. i suffer from bruising all over my body without banging it. that is only the start of it. I felt the heamtologist from fiona stanley was very rude and harsh and not caring at all that my hand is affecting my quality of life drastically and saying there is nothing they can do. i am a young adult and have been sick for 5 years and been let down time and time again. i cannot use my hand. i have a job and i am unable to work like this and it feels like the hospitals I've been to couldn’t give a c**p that i’m suffering everyday and keep fogging me of to different specilast not caring what happens or following up with me.
In my opinion I get treated very poorly because everyone I've seen is to lazy to dig in deeper because my conditions are to complex. I understand my conditions are rare but this health system is failing me. something needs to be done before my hand becomes permanently damaged like my foot. i am scared that my hand isn’t ever going to work again i have my whole life ahead of me and this is destroying me life. i have zero quality of life and cannot even look after myself properly due to my hand.
