I recently presented to the Emergency Department on the advice of my obstetrician at around 11 weeks pregnant after experiencing some bleeding. Having been through a few years of IVF to get to this point, I was understandably very upset and anxious.
From the moment I arrived, the staff I saw were incredible. The nurses at the front desk were so kind and proactive — they quickly organised a scan referral and had a doctor sign it straight away, getting me through for an ultrasound almost immediately. Their care and efficiency made such a difference.
I was then seen by Dr. Georgia, who was absolutely amazing. She was compassionate, reassuring, and incredibly thorough. I’d been to the ED a couple of weeks earlier for the same issue and hadn’t received many answers at that time, but Georgia went above and beyond. She took the time to do every necessary test and examination, explaining everything clearly and treating me with genuine warmth and empathy.
Even though I still didn’t have a clear reason for the bleeding, I left feeling so much calmer knowing that everything possible had been checked and that my baby was safe. Dr. Georgia’s professionalism and bedside manner were exceptional, and I’m so grateful for the care and kindness shown by her and the entire team that day.
