I went to Exmouth emergency feeling very unwell with possible sepsis, which turned out to be pneumonia. This resulted in staying 3 days/nights as the doctors fought to diagnose and treat me to get me well enough to resume my holiday.
It was tough going to be in hospital, missing my family when I should be on holiday but these fabulous women - doctors Julia and Myf and all the wonderful nurses felt like a new family. They not only focused on my care and diagnosis, but also stopped for a quick chat about my holiday, my family - anything to keep my spirits up. Even the lovely ladies bringing meals made such an effort to serve food, so beautifully presented it felt like a warm hug to receive it.
Their visitation policy is very generous which meant I could still see my boys, with the tea lady slipping them a juice and a biscuit to keep their spirits up too. I cannot thank you enough beautiful Exmouth hospital team, you turned a challenging situation in to one that I will actually hold dear for years to come. I just hope you get to read this and know how much I appreciated all of you. D
