"Positive feedback"

About: Prince of Wales Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a service user),

I attended randwick accident and emergency today. There was a lady who was supporting admissions, but also supporting all patients who were waiting to be seen my doctors. I unfortunately didn’t get her name but she had dark hair above her shoulder. She was extremely kind and went above and beyond today.

Dear pavoyz77,

Thank you for sharing your experience with us after your recent visit to our emergency department (ED).

Having staff with patients in the waiting room is an important role in providing a safe clinical environment. We have various roles that assist with this, our clinical initiatives nurse (CIN) and our patient experience officer (PEO).

Both these roles play a vital part in communication between hospital staff and patients and their carers in relation to ED processes, waiting times and assessment of patients following triage to initiate care earlier.

Thank you for the positive feedback, I will be sure to pass this on to our hardworking staff in the ED!

Kind Regards,

Emma
