"Mother baby nurture Albany"

I attended the mother baby nurture program after being recommended by my Child Health nurse from the collie street clinic. I’m so incredibly grateful that I was recommended this program. It has contributed so positively to my experience as a new mum.

The program itself went for about 10 weeks and I looked forward to every week, I’m really sad that it’s finished! It was so well run by the two facilitators Catherine and Mica. They definitely went above and beyond to make us all feel so comfortable and welcomed and safe.

One of my favourite things we did was “wonder watch”. Five minutes of baby lead play with a nice music track in the background and being encouraged as the parents to just sit and watch not intervene, not touch, just watch our babies. Something so small has been become a huge part of my routine with my son and a very important reminder to slow down and connect.

I feel like we have such a special bond because of this. 

I also loved how we started each group and finished with a nice little song for the babies and my son absolutely loves the songs. I continue to sing them.

Having the opportunity to share in a professional run forum with no judgement is needed for all mums in my opinion.

I highly recommend this program for any mum whether it be your first or sixth time. I hope to see this program running forever and becoming a standard for all mums to attend.
