"Aged Care Luncheon"

About: Cohuna District Hospital Residential Aged Care

(as a relative),

Last week the aged care home where my family member lives held a bbq luncheon for all the residents and invited us as family and friends.

The luncheon was absolutely delicious. But more importantly, my family member is still talking about how all the residents had little jobs to do to help prepare and run the luncheon and how much they enjoyed it. This made my family member feel so good to be able to participate in running an event. I just wanted to thank the catering staff, cooks, and the activities people for setting this us and running it so well. Everyone I could see was enjoying themselves immensely.

Dear pelicanjt65,

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide this wonderful feedback. The important thing is that our residents had a great day.

Their input into the flowers, setting the tables and preparing the deck was so rewarding and we need to really think about how we make these normal activities of daily living.

We had the pleasure of attending the Maggie Beer Oration last week and had a quick chat with Maggie and all the great influencing she has done.

We look forward to welcoming our residents into the new $41m facility next year and it will be a much more modern building for such events.

We cherish our Cohuna older people and they are so deserving of our CARE values.

Bernadette CEO
