"MGP Karratha Story"

My partner and I applied for the MGP Karratha program on the recommendation of another friend who had been through the program as well. This was our first pregnancy and we couldn’t have been happier with our experience. With our incredible midwife, Lea, we felt like we had 100% support the whole journey. We are so grateful for Lea’s wealth of knowledge and professionalism. During the labour and birth of our beautiful daughter, Lea was able to provide an amazing sense of calm and highest level of support. Through the knowledge provided from Lea, she was able to guide us to a positive birth experience. We feel that if we hadn’t had such a personal experience with Lea, the birth story would have taken a completely different path. 

We’re grateful for all the midwives, medical staff and hospital staff for all their support in the lead up to the birth, during and afterwards. The recovery afterwards was made so much easier because of the support of the fantastic midwives in the maternity ward. From popping in to check on how we were doing with our daughter and being given tips and tricks on breastfeeding was invaluable. We have both have been recommending this program to anyone that is expecting a child in Karratha. We feel very lucky that we were able to be a part of the MGP Karratha. We will forever be grateful to be able to access this service in Karratha and if we choose to have another child down the track, we would love to use it again.
