Peadiatric Hospital Stay

I am in in with my newborn baby who was very unwell. The peadiatric team are fantastic. They review my baby twice a day, listen well, and explain everything. 

The nursing staff are great too however I can tell they are under the pump as I often have to ask for things twice. My main complaint is that babies are put on the same wing as dementia patients. We have one person that constantly yells out for help next door. It has impacted our stay and I feel it is poor bed planning.

It’s also encouraging to know that our nursing staff have been kind and supportive, even under pressure.

We sincerely acknowledge your concerns regarding the ward environment. We understand how important a calm and restful space is, especially for families with newborns. Your feedback about the impact of being placed near patients with dementia is valuable, and we will ensure it is shared with the relevant teams involved in bed planning and patient placement.
