"Colonoscopy at Kyneton hospital"

About: Kyneton Hospital / Perioperative Services

(as a service user),

A colonoscopy is never fun, but every team member I saw at Kyneton hospital made it as good as it could be. I liked the fact that the nurses all referred to us patients by our first names, even when they were talking to each other. The standard of care was excellent, and there was very little waiting around.

I particularly appreciated my conversation with the anaesthetist, who took my fears about post-op nausea seriously. This was only the second time I have woken up from anaesthetic feeling normal! So important for me.

Thanks to everyone. An unpleasant experience made comfortable and positive through your efforts.

Hi Djjjj,

Thank you for sharing your story with us. I admit I've yet to meet a patient who gets excited about having a colonoscopy but knowing that our staff can help make the process efficient and deliver the procedure with empathy and in a friendly, competent manner is wonderful to hear.

Kind regards,

Michelle
