"Care @ PCH NICU 3B"

About: Perth Children's Hospital / General Paediatrics - Outpatient Clinic B & Outpatient Clinic F

(as a relative),

Our grandson was born requiring surgery post-delivery and transferred from KEMH to PCH via NETS. From the neonatal transport service through to all the staff on Level 3B, I say a very big thank you. The care for our grandson and his family was exceptional. There was a lot of kindness and empathy shown and this goes a long way in such a stressful situation.

The Consultants were wonderful at explaining what and why certain procedures were being done and although the medical language used when describing someone's precious first baby was sometimes confronting, we as a family were able to process due to our medical backgrounds.

I am a Nurse and work within WA Health, and it was amazing to witness firsthand the wonderful nursing care on ward 3B. Again, a big thank you from us all for the incredible job you all do.

Dear Trpccop

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback. We are grateful for your kind words and are honoured to have played a role in your grandson’s care during such a critical and emotional time.

Your acknowledgement of the Newborn Emergency Transport Service (NETS), the consultants, and the nursing staff on Ward 3B means a great deal to us. It is heartening to hear that the compassion, empathy, and professionalism shown by our staff made a positive impact on your family’s experience.

As a fellow member of WA Health, your recognition of the nursing care delivered is especially meaningful. We will ensure your message is shared with the teams involved and I know they will be touched to know their dedication made a difference.

Wishing your grandson continued strength and good health and sending our best to your entire family

Warm regards

Tony Dolan
