"Becoming a better me"

About: Lives Lived Well – Nowra (Nana Muru)

(as a service user),

In March this year I entered the Nana Muru Day Program to beat my addiction to alcohol. I found the program to be the perfect fit for me. It gave me the tools I needed to see my worth and address my issues that weighed me down. As a result of the program, along with Steve and Maddy, I began developing the skills to address my alcohol addiction. Today (21/10/25) I am 234 days sober.

Recently, I reattended the program to begin the journey of addressing my addiction to marijuana. While this journey is different to my alcohol journey, the program has provided me with the focus on the direction I need to take in order to achieve my goal. I am so grateful that Live Lived Well have provided me with the assistance and support to confidently forge ahead with the selflove and respect that I now know I am worthy of.

I credit my success to the evidence based facilitation of the program. In my opinion, it outshines any 12 step program I have been a part of.

Hi Newly Sober,

Firstly, a big thank you for being so open and sharing some of your personal experiences and the journey which you have been on. Sharing like this will help others to feel less alone in their circumstances.

I am so glad that the team in Nowra had such a positive impact on your decision to make some changes. I will definitely pass on this message to Steve and Maddy and the team.

Congratulations on the milestone you recently celebrated, it is a huge achievement to set goals and to meet them and to go even further.

Keep up the amazing work.

Remember to reach out if you have any questions or need any other supports in the future.

Kris
