"Finding Help and Understanding After a Long Journey"

About: Osborne Park Hospital

(as a carer),

For two and a half years, my husband went undiagnosed. When we finally received the diagnosis of cerebellar ataxia, we were shocked to learn how limited the support is for patients under 65. At just 53, my husband was told he wasn’t eligible for government-funded speech therapy, physiotherapy, or occupational therapy.

Then we found Osborne Park Hospital. The team there went above and beyond to provide the care and support that others would not. They made room for him when no one else would, and their compassion, understanding, and willingness to help have not gone unnoticed. We are so appreciative of their kindness as we begin this new stage of his journey.

Dear Baloo72,

Thank you for taking the time to share your positive experience at Osborne Park Hospital. I will ensure that your kind words of appreciation are passed on to the staff, together with mine.

It is always inspiring to hear how our staff go above and beyond, making a meaningful impact in the lives of our patients.

Wishing you both all the best as you begin this new stage of your husband’s journey.

Kind regards,

Jodi Graham
