"The level of care my daughter received when unwell."

I am writing to express my sincere gratitude to the nurses and doctors at Kalgoorlie Health Campus for the exceptional care my daughter and I received on Friday evening.

At approximately 6:50 p.m., I phoned KHC to advise that I was travelling from Norseman to bring my daughter in for assessment, as I was concerned she might require quarantine. The nurses I spoke with were extremely helpful and compassionate. They took the time to listen to my concerns and immediately organised a treatment plan in preparation for our arrival.

We arrived at the hospital at around 8:30 p.m. I initially went in alone to provide details for triage, and once again, the nurses were patient and attentive. They reviewed the photos I had taken that showed my daughter’s condition worsening, and together we decided that she should enter through the ambulance entrance and be placed in the isolation room.

From the moment we were settled, I was truly impressed by the professionalism and kindness of every staff member. Within half an hour, five or six different nurses and doctors came to assess my daughter. Each one listened carefully to my concerns, communicated clearly, and worked collaboratively to reach a diagnosis. She was given the appropriate medication, and we were able to safely travel home shortly after.

In total, we were at the hospital for less than an hour, yet the level of care and empathy displayed by the entire team made an enormous difference. As a mother, it was incredibly reassuring to feel genuinely heard and supported throughout the entire experience.

I am pleased to share that, two days later, my daughter has fully recovered and is back to being her happy, energetic self—thanks to the outstanding care provided by your dedicated nurses and doctors.
