"Staff who helped me understand what I was experiencing"

About: Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

Recently I was admitted to the ED with unusual symptoms. It has since settled. I would really like to thank the triage staff and ED staff for their efficient care and monitoring to find the best outcome. A particular stand out was a Junior Doctor named 'Eda' who made me feel calm and settled and performed all the testing thoroughly and with high competence, while maintaining empathy and a calm cheerful demeanour. Another standout was the nurse on the afternoon shift, who quietly listened to my concerns, and really helped me understand what I was experiencing and kept me calm throughout. Unfortunately I do not remember her name, but she was an absolute star, that deserves further recognition. Thank you everyone I saw at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital ED, for all the hard work and help for your patients!

Dear octgaes1t9s448h22228,

Thank you so much for taking the time to get in touch and share the story of your recent admission to the Emergency Department (ED) at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH).

We are very privileged to have such highly skilled and dedicated staff working at SCGH and I am grateful that you have taken the time and effort to acknowledge the staff members who cared for you with such kindness and compassion while you were receiving treatment.

It will be my pleasure to share your thanks and kind words of appreciation with the ED triage staff, Doctor ‘Eda” and the nurse who cared for you on the afternoon shift. I know they will be touched and honoured to know they made a difference for you.

I do hope you are feeling better and on the road to recovery.

Warm regards

Dr Jodi Graham
