"Exceptional care from nurse"

About: Albany Health Campus / Surgical Ward

(as the patient),

I recently presented to Albany Hospital for multiple issues and was admitted to the surgical ward. While there my symptoms were rapidly getting worse but I was struggling to get the doctors to comprehend my level of pain and how severe my symptoms were. The nursing staff were amazing in their level of care for me and in trying to get me the help I needed. One nurse in particular went above and beyond in her persistence and dedication to help me and in my personal saved me.

I never got the chance to express my gratitude for what she did as I was rushed into emergency surgery and then flown to Perth. If ever there was someone I wanted to care for myself or my loved ones it would be Kym. She was kind, caring and genuinely listened to me and helped me with all of her capabilities. I am so lucky that she was my nurse and I would not be standing here today without her and the level of care she gave to me.
