"Alcoholism and ongoing recovery"

About: Kedesh Rehabilitation Services Lives Lived Well – Carinya Transition House (Wollongong)

(as the patient),

I'm currently a resident at Lives Lived Well - Carinya Transition House (Wollongong), which has been tremendously helpful and supportive in my recovery from chronic alcohol use disorder. Prior to this, I completed the nine week program (with four week extension) at Kedesh Rehabilitation Services in Berkeley; this experience transformed my life, namely, my understanding of how I relate to myself and the world, and what led me into the despair of addiction.

Lives Lived Well -Carinya allows me to face the challenges and opportunities of the real world with the requisite supports and advice, while applying the psychological skills and strategies I have been taught in order to realistically build a meaningful life.

Dear melonqm95,

Thank you for sharing your story with us. Congratulations on your progress towards your recovery journey. It takes hard work and dedication to maintain, and you should be proud of yourself.

It is great to read that you have found services locally to support your goals and have learnt the skills to overcome the challenges that alcohol dependence brings with it.

Keep up the great work and seek additional support as you need it.

All the best,

LM
