About: Patient Assisted Travel Scheme - WACHS Midwest

(as the patient),

Was diagnosed with breast cancer in July. Had to travel from Geraldton to Perth for surgery & radio therapy.  Have had 6 trips down for treatment & still waiting for 1st PATS reimbursement 13 weeks later.

I would like to offer my sincere apologies for the delay in you obtaining your reimbursements for your journeys to Perth for treatment.

There have been some recent workforce challenges that has impacted our ability to process reimbursements in a timely manner. I regret the impact that has had on yourself and other members of the community. We have recently completed some additional recruitment and are working thoroughly to promptly clear the backlog of reimbursements. I would be grateful if you could reach out to me and I can check on the current status of your reimbursements and ensure these are processed immediately.
