"Smoking"

About: Prince of Wales Hospital

(as the patient),

Smokers everywhere at the Prince of Wales / Royal Hospital for Women campus.

Can’t sit anywhere out the front of the hospital buildings at the Barker St entrance without being bombarded with smoke.

Please do something!!

Dear Choking on smoke,

Thank you for bringing the matter of people smoking on the Prince of Wales /Royal Hospital for Women Campus to my attention and I apologise for the discomfort this issue has caused you.

Maintaining a safe and healthy environment is a priority for us, and we take this issue seriously, in line with the NSW Health No Smoking Policy.

We are updating signage at entrances to make the NSW Health No Smoking Policy clearer, and continue to explore additional measures to manage this persistent issue such as regular Security Patrols to ensure the hospital grounds are a pleasant environment for all.

Sincerely

Dr Martin Mackertich

A/General Manager
