I was on holiday in Albany from England and on the morning of the 16th September I woke up and could not breathe and had a tightness in my chest.
The ambulance was called and I was taken to Albany hospital where doctor Jerome and his team looked after me. After many tests Doctor Jerome advised me that he thought I had a heart attack, he said he would arrange for me to fly to the Fiona Stanley hospital Perth . I was transferred there late in the evening. I was shocked and traumatised as I was very fit before coming on holiday but a virus had attacked my heart ( which I found out later). Dr Jerome kept me informed after every test and his staff took such good care of me. I cannot thank them enough, I will always remember my experience there, good for-the fantastic care I received and bad because of being ill and a long way from home.
