"Neurology waitlist for 8 months, symptoms worsening, nothing can be done?"

About: Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital / Neurosurgical Unit

(as the patient),

I was initially put on the SCGH neurology waitlist in March this year for a 7 day long migraine. Since then, my neurological symptoms have been worsening (ie. incontinence, nerve pain, lower back/ shooting spine pain) and nothing can be done since the referral was made by the SCGH ED, so my GP can't change my information. There has to be a way around this?
