"Emergency rooms"

About: Cowes Phillip Island Health Hub / Urgent Care Centre Wonthaggi Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

In my opinion, the emergency rooms at Phillip Island and Wonthaggi are a absolute joke! Got sent to Wonthaggi by my gp who advised them I had fractured my knee and required zimmer splint, got there at 6pm by 10pm most of us still waiting  so I left. The next day went back nobody else in the waiting room at 6am, waited nearly 2 hours! I then went to the urgent care at Phillip Island, and at the time of writig this, so far waiting in pain in my knee from fracture and needing xray but it was 4:33 and xray closes at 5pm!!! I feel there is no urgency by the drs here at all!

Dear avocetbd53,

I'm sorry to hear that this was your experience at BCH, I know both the ED and UCC strive to provide high quality, patient-centred care. I would appreciate if you could call me on 0436 632 078 so I can further review your visits to BCH.

I hope you knee is healing well. I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,

Chris.
